COMMUNITY DANCE SESSIONS

Leaders is a Community which is growing and ever changing, whilst adapting to the needs of the children and young people who are a part of the Leaders community.

We are delighted to announce the ‘Lead from the Front’ Programme which is an initiative that has been developed to allow Children to help Children.

Our young people aged 14 years and over have received leadership training and accreditation to qualify them to lead community dance sessions whilst under the supervision of an Adult.

All such leads have extensive personal dance training from world famous institutions such as Studio 68, Pineapple Dance Studios, The Royal Academy of Dance in partnership with Jack Petchey and The Sylvia Young Performing Arts School.

The dual objective of such an initiative is to deliver affordable community dance sessions for children and young people whilst supporting the personal development of these accomplished young dance leads who have been dancing and training to lead towards a full time career in the teaching of dance.

It has been evidenced through our sessions that children and young people aspire to train with our group of Young Dance Leaders and it is as a result of studies and consultations that we developed this initiative in order to meet the needs of our learners.

All Young Dance Leads are accredited with a Level 2 Dance Leadership Qualification from Sportsleaders.org and have liability insurance in place along with First Aid awareness.

This qualification prepares responsible, motivated and confident learners to lead safe, purposeful and enjoyable community dance sessions.
